Do not do business with Lear Capital. They charged me $800 over fair market value for a 1 ounce 1924 Gold coin. I learned that Lear charge me an excessive amount when I went to sell my coin. Lear Capital said they would only pay me $1,688 for a coin they sold to me for $2,485 just 2 years earlier (when gold was $300 less per ounce). This obviously made no sense to me so I went to several local coins stores and they told me that I paid about $800 over market value for the coin from Lear Capital. I confirmed what the local coins stores owners told me by researching the same rated coins on Heritage Auctions (largest coin auction site). Local coin stores and Heritage Auctions typically have a premium of less than 10% versus the 45% premium that Lear Capital charged me which is 450% higher than local coin dealers. I will never purchase from Lear Capital again.

This company is a nightmare! Total waste of time and money!
LEAR CAPITAL is not that good as it claims to be! Actually this company is a pure nightmare and is not recommended to anyone!
I used their services when I placed an order on their website for silver Morgan coins and I paid for it a large amount of money. After my order was made I received a confirmation number but it was wrong - I found it later. All problems started when I didn't receive my order in time according to our contract. I contacted this company and after I contacted the manager he said that he will fix the problem but I never received an invoice and confirmation as it was promised. Moreover, he gave me his another phone number which I suppose doesn't exist at all because I was unable to contact him using it. After I manager to contact this company again they said that they had problems with shipping but now finally my order was shipped but I haven't received a confirmation again. I tried to track my order but this company gave me wrong tracking number and never fixed this problem after my request.
Well my order never arrived and later this company contacted me and said that by the unknown accident my order returned back to the company. I send a request for a refund because I didn't like that kind of service and I thought that it was not a mistake but just the way how they do their business. They promised to refund me money according to their refund policy and send me a check in three weeks. I never received it so I had to contact my lawyer. LEAR CAPITAL is the worst company I ever dealt with, their service is horrible. Consumer, you'd better stay away from them, otherwise the same nightmare will happen with you as well.
