I responded to Prosper INC online ad hoping to find a real, honest and proven work from home/business from home. I paid $9.95 and then I received a call with instructions for the Online Business Kit I ordered. I studied and watched the DVD presentation. When I asked the representative, when we will get to the top, the answer was "We will get to that part after all the sweet talks.
When I came to the interview and people there were very persuasive and I was really looking for something where I can earn from home but instead of earning I lost a lot of money. I followed their steps but somehow I felt something is wrong. To become a "Supervisor" I should reach a certain point so I could avail of the 50% discount. I wasn't the one who chose the products. So I ended up having some of the products at home until now. When I called them to return or exchange the products because I can't move them, I found out that I can't do that. It's either I will surrender my position as a Supervisor from them.
I am seeking for a legal assistance regarding this matter. I don't expect the money to come back to me anymore, it's just that this online ad targets the people who are hoping to earn online.

Be careful! This company is just a bunch of liars and thieves, who are looking for naive people to make their victims.
These people really know how to present non-existent services and how to take money from people, fooling them. I had a deal with this company when I was looking for a job - they offered me kid of training which supposed to help me to earn money and after it they offered me a help in finding a workplace. For unemployed it sounded quite good and the price was quite cheap. All problems started after I made a payment and arrived at their course - it was just a conversation of one unprofessional and unknown gentleman and it worth absolutely nothing. I claimed for moneyback but I was ignored so I decided to wait until the end of the course. Well I wasn't surprised when I received no paper or diploma and no working place. They don't have a refund policy so once you've wasted your money - you are unable to get them back.
Be careful and don't allow them to fool you!

I too got suckered by them, they told me, we would use a " beat the bank system" use my line of credit for $1000, and be able to pay it of in 30 days, then they said they would front me an extra $2, 000.. I would have to pay them almost $200 a month.. When my " coach" called, he told me the same stuff I already knew.. Sell on e-bay, become an affiliate for sites like amazon.com ... He only spent maybe 10 minutes on the phone.. Then he had other people to call me wanting me to invest more money for tax purposes... Now Monterey Finance is calling me, threatening to send me to collections, or law suits against me, and keep throwing that" The have an a+ in BBB" Crap at me... How do I get out?? If anyone knows let me know.. I spoke with my bank, told them about it, and asked them to decline any payments towards them... I'm finally getting my credit good, I don't need this to mess me up, I'm still having to pay my credit card bill...

I have lost my job recently due to economic situation and Prosper INC told me that they can help. At first I was offered an opportunity to join their training and then they were supposed to hire me or to find another place for work. I have paid my last savings for this training. The training was not very professional and the info and materials they provided were quiet unnecessary and useless. I remind you that I have invested all my money in this opportunity and even borrowed money from my relatives. I was 100% sure that after two weeks I will get a job. I was very active on the courses and managers paid attention to me. I thought that the work is in my pocket already. However, after the training was over, I realized that they didn’t hire anyone from the group. So, I waited another three weeks and got no news about the job. I tried to get a refund but they told that I attended lectures and that was the price. After few months I found a job myself. Till now I can’t pay out all the bills I received during these months I was without work. Thanks to Prosper INC. Don’t make business with this company!

Where do I even to begin, well let’s see. Prosper INC is a HUGE scam. I trusted these guys from first day and put my faith in them. I was desperate right after just losing my job and needed to do something with this horrible economy to make ends meet. I was foolish enough to fall for this. After trying to reach Prosper INC numerous times I got absolutely nowhere. I demanded my money back. I mean now when I think about it even their website looks like you’re about to be scammed. Having no one to turn to and the Attorney General being of no help to recover my money, I found a life changing company online. They didn’t pressure me into anything and just made the entire process so easy for me to get back my entire small fortune I lost with Prosper INC. I am sure I can’t be the only fool that they have helped. I will never trust anyone that charges an upfront fee again like Prosper INC did to me! I hope this story will stop anyone doing business with these horrible scam artists before they make a HUGE mistake. If it is already too late and you made the same dumb mistake I did, call your bank and BBB.

I signed up with the hopes of learning how to build my own online business. The information provided to me at first did not apply and I could not gain access into the so called Prosper University in order to use the resources. So, I called to get the accurate information and still came up with nothing. I called them back and got the run around. I tried to cancel their services and was told that it was too late and would have to pay over $200 to cancel. Foolish me, I let them beat me down. Still unable to gain access, they still withdrew $49.95 from our account each subsequent month, while my husband was unemployed for over 5 months during this time (sole provider of family of six). I made sure Prosper University was aware of our financial ruin and was to get the help and guidance needed to be successful. On the contrary, I found this so called Prosper University to be a complete scam.

About 3 months ago, I called again, asking for them to cancel and the same load of erroneous information followed. The only difference this time was that I was told they would cancel if I paid $100. The audacity of these people, my husband is still unemployed and they see fit to hold people by a noose even during difficult times, this is not a business. These people are sharks looking for the vulnerable and naive. Prosper INC should be ashamed of themselves. I noticed there was only one positive post made prior to mine about them; I question the integrity and source of the individual who submitted that information.
